About This Policy

This policy covers the website at https://clickcounterly.com, the Click Counter / Digital Tally Counter tool, and related communications such as contact replies and requested newsletters. It describes the operator’s practices for information collected through those first-party surfaces.

The site operator for the purposes of this policy is Click Counterly. You can reach the operator at support@clickcounterly.com. Where privacy law assigns roles such as controller, business, or operator, Click Counterly acts in that role for information described here, except where this policy identifies a service provider acting on documented instructions.

External websites, app stores, social platforms, or embedded services linked from Click Counterly operate under their own policies. This policy does not govern what those third parties do with information once you leave this site or interact with their interfaces.

02

Information You Provide

When you contact Click Counterly, you provide the contents of your message and the contact details needed to reply. Contact inquiries typically include the name, email address, subject, and message fields shown on the live form. Newsletter sign-ups typically include the email address and any optional name field shown on the live form. No phone number or additional field should be assumed unless it appears in the live form and is confirmed during verification.

Information you voluntarily include in the body of a message, such as descriptions of how you use the counter or screenshots you choose to attach, is processed to understand and respond to your request. If file uploads are enabled on the contact form, attached files are handled only for support purposes and are subject to the same retention and access controls as the message itself.

You are not required to create an account to read this policy or to use the basic counting tool, unless the operator confirms otherwise in Section 8. Providing contact or newsletter information is voluntary, but without a valid email address a reply or subscription cannot be completed.

03

Counting And Tracking Data

The counter tool processes count-related values such as current totals, counter names, goals, timestamps, and history entries only to the extent needed to operate the counter you are using. Until verified, no assumption should be made about whether a particular value stays in page memory, persists in the browser, or is transmitted to a server.

Storage behavior depends on the feature you use. Page memory is cleared when the tab is closed or reloaded. Local browser storage, such as localStorage or sessionStorage, persists on the same device and browser until cleared by the visitor or overwritten by the tool. Cloud storage, if any, would mean count data is held on operator or provider servers and may be available across devices.

Reset controls return the displayed total to zero for a new round. Reset does not necessarily erase locally stored history or server records unless the tool is verified to do so. Clearing browser site data, using a different device or browser, or reinstalling a browser profile may remove locally stored counts and cannot be undone by the operator.

04

Technical Information

Like most WordPress sites, Click Counterly’s hosting environment may generate request logs that record IP addresses, user-agent strings, requested URLs, response codes, and referring pages. These logs are used for delivery, diagnostics, and abuse prevention, and are kept separate from newsletter subscriber lists and support correspondence.

Application data, such as count values the tool needs to render the current page, should be evaluated separately from hosting logs and separately from any analytics system. Analytics collection, if enabled, would be described with its provider, configured events, and retention settings once verified. The hosting log configuration and any analytics setup are reviewed before publication.

Browser details and device information are not used for fingerprinting or cross-site tracking unless such a practice is verified and disclosed in Section 5 and Section 9. Where technical data is collected, only the minimum needed for the stated purpose is retained.

05

Cookies And Browser Storage

Click Counterly may use cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, or similar browser technologies to operate the site and remember basic preferences. Essential storage needed to display a page or keep a count visible during a session does not require marketing consent, while non-essential analytics or advertising storage would require an appropriate consent mechanism where the law demands it.

The table below lists the browser storage this site uses for core functionality. It should be reviewed whenever the tool, plugins, or integrations change.

Cookie and storage inventory

No analytics or advertising storage is intentionally used by the counter tool. If such tools are added, their entries will be listed in this table before they are enabled. No cookie banner, preference center, or settings link should be claimed unless it exists on the live site and has been tested. In all cases, visitors can control storage through browser settings for clearing cookies and site data, and through any consent control the operator verifies as present on production.

06

How Information Is Used

Information is used to provide the counter tool, respond to inquiries, send newsletters that were expressly requested, maintain and secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. Each purpose is limited to what is actually practiced; no additional profiling, sale, or advertising use should be inferred.

Service communications, such as a reply to a support message or a confirmation that a subscription was received, are distinct from marketing messages. Newsletters and product updates are sent only where the recipient requested them or where another verified permission applies, and each marketing message explains how to stop receiving it.

Aggregated or de-identified usage information, if generated, is used to understand demand and improve reliability. Such aggregates do not identify individuals and are not used to re-identify visitors.

07

Legal Grounds

Where the applicable jurisdiction requires a legal basis for processing, such as under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, each purpose in Section 6 is matched to its verified ground during the pre-publication review. Merely visiting the website is not treated as blanket consent for non-essential processing.

Typical mappings to be confirmed are: providing the requested counter and replying to messages on the basis of contract or legitimate interests; sending requested newsletters on the basis of consent; maintaining security and preventing abuse on the basis of legitimate interests; and complying with legal obligations where a specific law requires retention or disclosure.

Where processing relies on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time through the method by which it was given, such as an unsubscribe link, without affecting processing that already occurred. The verified withdrawal method for each consent-based purpose will be stated here before publication.

08

Accounts And Payments Applies only if implemented

This section applies only if accounts, purchases, cloud storage, or team workspaces are offered on Click Counterly. If no such features exist on the live site, this section should be removed or retained as explicitly not applicable after review, rather than left ambiguous.

If accounts are introduced, this section will identify the account fields collected, the authentication method, and any workspace data processed. If payments are introduced, it will name the verified payment processor, describe purchase records retained by the site, and state precisely what payment information the site itself receives. Card numbers and similar sensitive payment details must not be described as never touching the site unless the integration architecture has been verified.

Proposed pricing content or marketing copy is not evidence that accounts or payments exist. Do not retain account or payment language to match marketing drafts unless the features are live and tested.

09

Sharing Information

Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate the site, such as hosting, email delivery, spam prevention, analytics, security, and — only if implemented — payment providers. Each provider acts for the purpose described here, for example hosting to serve pages, email delivery to transmit form notifications, and security tooling to block abuse.

Information may be disclosed where required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request, or in connection with a business transfer where the successor remains bound by commitments materially consistent with this policy. Any such transfer would be communicated as required by applicable law.

Whether data is sold, shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, or used for advertising must be stated only after verification of actual practices and provider configurations. Until confirmed, this policy makes no advertising-sharing claim and no sale claim in either direction.

10

Retention

Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes in Section 6, using the periods or criteria in the table below. Where no fixed period is appropriate, the table states the criterion, such as retaining support messages until a request is resolved plus a defined follow-up window.

Retention schedule
Data CategoryRetention Period or CriterionNotes
Counting data (local only)Until you clear your browser dataHeld on your device, not on operator servers unless verified otherwise.
Counting data (server, if any)Until no longer needed for the feature, if server-side counting is enabledApplies only if server-side counting is implemented.
Contact inquiriesUntil the request is resolved, plus a reasonable follow-up periodIncludes message body and reply history.
Newsletter recordsUntil you unsubscribe or request deletionIncludes subscription status and unsubscribe events.
Hosting and security logsA limited period set by the hosting and security providerSet by hosting or security provider configuration.
Accounts / transactions (if any)Not applicable unless accounts or payments are introducedApplies only if Section 8 is applicable.

Backups, where they exist, may retain copies for a limited rotation window after source data is deleted. Information subject to a legal hold is preserved as required by law and deleted or de-identified once the hold is released. Specific periods are kept in line with the relevant provider settings.

11

Security

Click Counterly uses organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to a small content and utility site, such as access controls for site administration, updates to site software, and use of reputable hosting and delivery providers. Only individuals who need access to perform support or maintenance are given access to systems that handle visitor information.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. This policy does not claim specific encryption standards, certifications, or audit outcomes unless they have been verified and can be described without exposing sensitive implementation details.

Visitors can reduce risk by using current browsers, keeping devices updated, and avoiding the inclusion of sensitive personal information in contact messages that is not needed to resolve the request.

12

International Transfers

Hosting and processing locations determine whether information moves across borders. The relevant locations for this site are those where the website hosting, email delivery, backup storage, and any verified analytics or newsletter providers operate.

Where a transfer mechanism is required by applicable law, the safeguard relied upon is an appropriate instrument such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another recognized mechanism put in place with the relevant provider. Confirmed locations and instruments are reviewed as part of the pre-publication check.

Support correspondence sent to support@clickcounterly.com may be accessed from the locations where the operator and its email provider process mail. Those locations will be listed here once confirmed.

13

Your Privacy Rights

Available rights depend on where you live. Depending on jurisdiction, these may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. This policy does not promise a single universal set of rights or a single response deadline for every jurisdiction.

To submit a request, email support@clickcounterly.com from the address associated with your inquiry or subscription, describe the right you wish to exercise, and include enough detail to locate the relevant message or subscription. Proportionate identity verification may be requested to prevent disclosure to the wrong person, and certain exceptions or response periods set by law may apply.

Regulator complaint information will be added once the relevant supervisory authority is known, including the authority’s name and contact path. You may also seek advice from your local data protection authority or consumer protection office.

14

Children’s Privacy

Click Counterly is a general-purpose productivity and utilities tool and is not directed to children as its primary audience. No specific age gate is claimed here; any verified age restriction imposed by the operator, an app marketplace, or applicable law will be stated in this section after review.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the contact or newsletter forms, contact support@clickcounterly.com with the details needed to locate the submission. Verified requests relating to children’s data are prioritized and handled in line with applicable obligations.

No universal minimum age is asserted in this draft. The operator must confirm the intended audience and any classroom or supervised-use expectations before publication.

16

Policy Changes

Revisions to this policy are recorded by updating the Effective Date and Last Updated fields at the top of the page. Dates are controlled manually and are not changed automatically.

Where a change is material, the operator will provide an appropriate additional notice, such as a notice on the site, for the period required by applicable law before the change takes effect. Continued use of the site after the stated effective date of a revision is subject to the updated policy as permitted by law.

Prior versions are retained as needed to demonstrate what was communicated and when, in line with the retention approach in Section 10.
